Getting started

From your account to your first service online on Kapapra.

Create your account

Kapapra is in closed beta: registration needs an invitation. Join the waitlist from the home page, confirm your address, then use the link you receive by e-mail. A team invitation (sent by a team admin) also lets you create your account.

A personal team is created when you register. You can create other teams and invite people to them (see Teams and access).

Projects and environments

A project groups services that talk to each other (an API, its database, a worker…). Every project starts with the production environment; add others (staging, preview…) from the project settings. Each environment has its own variables, domains and deployments.

Your first service

“Add Service” offers:

  • GitHub Repository: your code, built by Kapapra (see Deploy from GitHub);
  • Database: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Redis or MongoDB, with generated credentials (see Databases);
  • Docker Image: a public image (e.g. nginx:1), or a private one with registry credentials set in Settings → Source (sent only to the image's registry);
  • Template: a ready-to-use app (n8n, Umami, Metabase) or a stack wired to its databases (see Templates);
  • Empty Service: a service without a source, configured later in Settings → Source.

“Create & Deploy” starts the first deployment and opens the build logs. A web service gets a *.kapapra.com domain with HTTPS (see Domains).

Getting help

In the console, “Support” (sidebar) sends your question, a problem or an idea to the Kapapra team with the page context; the answer comes by e-mail. You can also write to support@kapapra.com.
